Rescue Groups
Pet Assistance Network - My "pet" project. This is a website which I started to help pets keep their loving homes! It is a resource to provide guidance for families struggling to keep their pets fed and healthy. And, if they are still unable to keep their pet in the family, we help them find a new home for their beloved pets. Rehoming a pet is not an easy decision, so we offer compassionate guidance to help them ensure that their pet goes to a great new home. We also have established a "Death Row Fund" to help sponsor pets already in the shelters in an effort to help them find rescue or adopters.
Robyn's Nest Animal Rescue - I volunteer regularly out at The Nest. They are doing amazing work here in Nashville to save animals in need and give them another chance at a good life! If you're looking for a new member of yoru furry family, please be sure to check out the many wonderful dogs available for adoption at Robyn's Nest.
Death Row Doggies - Rescuing dogs from "death row" in local high-kill shelters and helping them find new loving homes.
Humane Society of Dickson County - Doing great work rescuing and advocating for animals in Dickson County, TN! And, they are also the rescue that I adopted my girl, Angel from. I also foster for them and volunteer to help them at their Adopt-a-thons at the Nashville West PetSmart. They are there from 11am-4pm the first 3 Saturdays of the month.
Desparate House Cats - A Shelter Cat Rescue in Nashville, TN. If you are looking to add a feline member to your family, be sure to contact DHC!
Blount County Humane Society - No-Kill rescue group in Blount County, TN. I adopted Rachel from this great organization. They are doing so much for the animals in their community! And, all this without the benefit of a shelter! If you're looking for an East Tennessee rescue group to support, this group has my endorsement!
Nashville Humane Association - The Nashville Humane Association is a non-profit organization helping to protect the well being of animals in Davidson County. They offer many great services to the Nashville and surrounding communities including a mobile low-cost Spay & Neuter clinic, community pet food bank and much more.
Dog Trainers
Training Spot, Tonia Floyd - Training Spot Ranch specializes in teaching you and your family how to communicate by a common language with your canine companion. You will be taught commands and learn how your dog thinks so you can understand why you are working with your dog in a particular way. Value Vet takes great care of all of the dogs for my rescue, Pet Assistance Network.
Franklin Road Animal Hospital, Mark Ingram, DVM - HOLISTIC PET CARE. Dr Ingram has done wonders with my senior dog who has severe hip displasia and arthritis. Conventional vets told me that her only prognosis was amputation of her hind leg to the femur head. With the degeneration in her other hip and the arthritis, amputation really was not a viable option. After only 3 prolotherapy treatments from Dr. Ingram, she is now completely off the Rimadyl and gets around better than ever. Additionally, Dr. Ingram was able to diagnose her with food allergies which has allowed me to change her food and she is no longer suffering from itchy skin and hot spots. I recommend Dr. Ingram to everyone who has a pet suffering from allergies and/or joint, ligament, tendon injuries. Or, if you just prefer a holistic approach to your pet's healthcare, Dr. Ingram is the vet for you and your furry family!
Animal Health Center of Franklin - Great vets and a great staff! I never would have gotten through the death of my beloved Nikki if not for their compassion and kindness. They truly care about your pet and you!
